Pete's
91' CRX was the car that started it all for Rick. Back in
98' Pete's timing belt broke. This was the perfect opportunity
to bring his car up to speed with all those west coasters
he was reading about in the mags. So the hybrid lifestyle
began.
Rick
being very good friends with Pete decided he wanted to take
on the project and quit his job as an electrician. ??????
Rick's just like that. He decided to do the swap the correct
way(obd1). This involved a complete rewiring of the engine
harness and ecu plugs. It took a couple months to complete
the project, but that was mostly due to the availability
of a mounting kit, or lack thereof . Finally HCP came through
with one and with a lot of shimming, opening holes and adjusting
the motor sat very nice in the engine bay. Other than a
couple chk eng light which were quickly fixed. The car has
been running strong ever since.
A
swap of this nature now takes only a few days.
